Fund performance tracks the European Central Bank (ECB) deposit rate, used by the ECB to pay interest on the deposits of commercial banks in the euro area. The Fund's target return is expected to be 3% per annum at the current 4% ECB deposit rate.

The Fund predominantly uses the following investment instruments for capital appreciation:
Term deposits
Fixed-term deposits are negotiated for a determined period with a fixed interest rate throughout the term of the deposit. Their advantage as part of an investment strategy is in enabling the fund to maintain a higher yield for a prolonged period.
Overnight deposits
The means by which financial houses store surplus liquidity in the interval between one trading day and the next; interest is paid on these deposits by the ECB at a discount rate.
